Responses of physiological related traits in mature grains from two barley cultivars (Acsad 1230 and Arig 8) evaluated under saline stress

Six-row barley cultivars Acsad 1230 and Arig 8 were grown under 3 salt treatments (control, 70 and 140 mM of NaCl) to determine the effects of the treatments on 1000-kernal weight (TKW), soluble and total protein contents, soluble and bounded phenol contents and Na+ and Cl- contents per kernel. The responses to salt tolerance of the cultivars were different. Acsad 1230 was more tolerant to salt treatment than Arig 8.
