Effects of broiler stocking density and poultry litter reuse on broiler performance and poultry litter production

The study was conducted to evaluate poultry litter production and broiler performance of birds kept in different stocking densities with reused poultry litter. The trial was conducted at the UNESP, Jaboticabal, SP, Brazil. Day-old male Hubbard chicks were housed in boxes at 10, 16 and 22 birds/m2. Birds were reared in wood shavings for 42 days. Liveweight (LW), weight gain (WG), ration consumption (RaC), alimentary conversion (AC), viability (V) and production factor (PF) were evaluated.
