In vitro experiments were conducted to determine the possible anthelmintic effects of crude aqueous and hydro-alcoholic extracts of the bark of A. gummifera on eggs and adult H. contortus. Effective dose 50% (ED50) for egg hatch inhibition of the aqueous extract was 0.67 mg/ml, while that of hydro-alcoholic extract was 0.48 mg/ml. There was no statistically significant difference (P>0.05) between the extract types on egg hatch inhibition.
