A field experiment was conducted during 2000-02 in Sikar, Rajasthan, India to investigate the effects of wind erosion control measures on soil and water conservation as well as production potential of pearl millet Raj 171 in hot arid watershed areas. There were 4 treatments consisting of ridge and furrow, vegetative barrier of tree tricks (VBTS), vegetative barrier of plant residues (VBPR) and control (without barrier).
