Sources of organic matter in soil under grain-row crop rotation were studied on leached chemozem in stationary field and laboratory experiments. The character and evolution of straw transformation at different depths of incorporation into soil were determined. An integrated evaluation of the effect of lime and different organic and mineral fertilizers on the labile part of soil humus was done.
