Effects of Mo deficiency on the content of chlorophyll and the ultrastructure of chloroplast in winter wheat cultivars

Effects of Mo deficiency on the content of chlorophyll and the ultrastructure of chloroplast in winter wheat cultivars

Journal of Huazhong Agricultural University 24(5): 465-469

In an experiment with an Mo-efficient (97003) and an Mo-inefficient cultivar (97014), the seeds were sown in acid yellow brown soil under Mo-deficient and Mo-sufficient conditions. The middle parts of the first fully expanded leaves were collected when the plants expressed Mo-deficient symptoms. Chlorophyll content was determined and the chloroplast ultrastructure was observed. The chlorophyll content in the 2 cultivars was significantly reduced under Mo-deficient conditions.
