Growth, flowering, yield, quality and ecomomics of calendula (Calendula officinalis Linn.) as influenced by nutrients and bionoculants

Studies were conducted during 1998/99, in Karnataka, India, to evaluate the influence of bioinoculants (Azotobacter at 200 g/ha and VAM at 15.6 g/plant) with different levels of nitrogen and phosphorus (100, 75 and 50% of the recommended rate) on the growth, flowering, yield, quality and vase life of calendula Red Orange. One-month-old seedlings raised in seed pans were transplanted at a spacing of 30x20 cm.
