A study was conducted during summer 2001/02, under the Gangetic alluvial soil of West Bengal, India, to investigate the response of hybrid rice cultivars to various levels of nitrogen and potassium. Hybrid rice cultivars (PHB-71, KRH-2, CNHR-3) recorded significantly higher values for growth and grain yield compared with the control cultivar Khitish.
