Studies on seed development and maturation in China aster (Callistephus chinensis L. Nees) cv. Poornima

Physiological maturity studies were conducted in China aster Poornima at 5 day interval up to 45 days after anthesis (DAA). The seeds obtained from each stage of development was evaluated for several physiological and physical parameters. The result revealed that seeds obtained from flowers harvested 40 DAA recorded higher germination (63%) and vigour index (416).
