An experiment was conducted in Hisar, Haryana, India, during the kharif of 2004 to study the effects of moisture stress on dry matter accumulation and partitioning in 4 V. aconitifolia genotypes (RMO 40, RMO 257, MB 99-1 and CZM 10). The dry weights of leaves, stems, roots, nodules and pods significantly decreased under water stress in all genotypes. The dry weights of leaves and nodules were highest at the flowering stage, then declined until harvesting.
