Experiments were conducted during 2000-02, in Poland, to evaluate the effect of ethephon spraying on the growth of seed stalks of 3 leek (Allium ampeloprasum var. porrum cultivars, i.e. Arkansas, Bartek and Lancelot. Spraying with 2% ethephon did not reduce the seed stalk growth of all cultivars.
