Effects of relay intercropping of spring-sown and summer-sown maize on the nutritive values of whole-crop forage at different nitrogen levels

An experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of relay intercropping of spring-sown and summer-sown maize on dry matter yield and nutritive values of whole crop forage at different nitrogen level compared with sole cropping. The reasons for these effects were analysed from the changes in nitrogen uptake and field microclimate.
