Relative susceptibility of Corcyra cephalonica (Stnt.) larvae to different cultivars of wheat

Relative susceptibility of Corcyra cephalonica (Stnt.) larvae to different cultivars of wheat

Indian Journal of Entomology 67(3): 222-224

ISSN/ISBN: 0367-8288

The emergence and development of C. cephalonica in the grains of 16 wheat cultivars were studied. Adult emergence was greatest in HD 2285 (50.0%) and lowest in HD-1014-2 (3.3%). The mean development period was longest in Kundan (63.0 days) and shortest in HD-1014-2 (43.0 days). Based on the growth index, HD-1014-2 and Kundan were the least susceptible to C. cephalonica (lowest indexes of 0.0767 and 0.0104, respectively).
