Disseminating research findings: A blueprint for affecting educational research and practice

Disseminating research findings: A blueprint for affecting educational research and practice

Educational technology 19(3): 25-29

The importance and methods of disseminating educational research findings are reviewed. Recommendations for dissemination to the scientific community include filing reports with ERIC, publication in multiple journals, and presentations of findings at conferences. For field-based personnel in education, dissemination can be accomplished by needs assessment surveys of potential users, articles, travelling seminars, sharing institutes, and special workshops. The merits of research findings can be evaluated in the marketplace which dissemination fuels with new ideas.
