It has been said that America is into a health/fitness era and that we have taken to heart the adage "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure." One way to "prevent," at least in the minds of some segments of the population, is to take some type of vitamin/mineral supplement. This study examined the relationship between health beliefs, self-reported health status, and reported vitamin/mineral use by adults in the western region of the United States.
