Preventing Chronic Disease 3(1): A23



To help address the challenges posed by the obesity epidemic in the USA, the US Congress authorized the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to establish the Nutrition and Physical Activity Program to Prevent Obesity and Other Chronic Diseases. In this article, we summarize the progress of the first 20 states funded by this programme.
