Enterohaematotrema palaeorticum n.g, , n.sp. is described and figured. Eight specimens were found in the small intestine of 3 Lissemys punctata. The new genus is distinguished from Coeuritrema by the median pre-equatorial position of the genital pore immediately behind the acetabulum, the shape and position of the cirrus-sac and metraterm and the habitat in the gut.
