A case of canine rickets is descr., which developed on an apparently adequate diet and in the presence of abundant sunlight. A very marked aplastic anemia and fibrosis of the kidneys were also present. The dog was bred from a line, members of which had shown skeletal malformation and paucity of red bone marrow. The history of this family is given and the suggestion is made that the cause of this case was an inherent, possibly hereditary factor.
