Beta -napthoxyacetic acid as an inductor of parthenocarpy in tomatoes

Beta -napthoxyacetic acid as an inductor of parthenocarpy in tomatoes

Proc. Amer. Soc. hort. Sci. for, 1942. 40: 387-9

beta -naphthoxyacetic acid at concentrations of 0.25%, 0.5% and 1.0% was mixed with lanolin and applied to the cut style of tomatoes. Seedless fruits were produced which were larger than seeded fruits produced by pollination.
