II. Complement-fixation tests with serum from naturally infected bovines and bovine antigen, or Bovine serum or g. pig antigen, were also of little use in rapid determination of the virus type, but good results were obtained by the use of an antigen prepared from primary tongue lesions in animals experimentally inoculated with the virus, strain to be tested, and a serum from g. pigs hyperimmunized against one of the standard strains O, A, or C.
