Control of anthracnose spot of Honey-dew Melons

The agent of melon anthracnose, ColletotricJium lagenarium, is spread from diseased to healthy melons by means of the washing water, which should be disinfected by the introduction of chlorine at a minimum concentration of 150 p.p.m., the same treatment being recommended for conveyor belts.
