Effect of heavy metal (manganous sulphate) on the resting period of pollen of pink-flowered Catharanthus roseus and further evidence of a criticism to the hypothesis of Saoji and Chitaley (1972) - a critical review

Effect of heavy metal (manganous sulphate) on the resting period of pollen of pink-flowered Catharanthus roseus and further evidence of a criticism to the hypothesis of Saoji and Chitaley (1972) - a critical review

Flora and Fauna Jhansi 11(2): 197-198

The pollen of F and F-24 series of pink-flowered Catharanthus roseus cultivar was collected at the anther dehiscence stage to study the effect of manganous sulfate (10-20 mg/ml). Pollen germinated after one hour of sowing in sucrose medium and in sucrose medium supplemented with manganous sulfate.
