Effects of extract of Kuchinasi (Gardenia jasminoides Ellis) with organic solvents on ether-induced plasma ACTH, catecholamine and gonadotropine levels in experimental menopausal female rats

The effects of administration the extract of Kuchinasi (Gardenia jasminoides) with organic solvent on plasma adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH), catecholamine and gonadotropin levels in experimental menopausal female rats under ether-inhalation were studied. The increased plasma ACTH levels induced by ether-inhalation was significantly decreased by twice a day for three days i.p. administration. Adrenaline and noradrenaline were not influenced by this material.
