Fish meal, Elbe herring meal, meat meal, blood meal, soya and Lupinen fish meal as protein supplements for laying hens

Different protein supplements were tested on laying hens on the same basal ration, the nutritive ratios of the different rations being approximately the same. Supplements of animal origin containing 10 per cent. calcium phosphate were found suitable. The high fat content of some animal meals had no unfavourable effect.
