Preliminary studies in horse-gram (Dolichos biflorus L.)

The authors give a description of the plant and notes on its acreage, yields, agricultural characteristics and uses in Madras. It is stated to thrive in areas of low rainfall and to require little or no manuring. It is an excellent green manure, and is also valuable for fodder, either cut green or used after harvesting the seed.
