The effect of 2 levels of daily intake (0.17% and 0.37% of liveweight) of protein and energy supplementation on weight gain and dry matter intake of bulls grazing Brachiaria brizantha Marandu grass was evaluated. 42 bulls (Holstein x Gir-HG) averaging 211 kg initial LW were used in the performance trial. 15 HG steers averaging 239 kg initial LW were used for the evaluation of total dry matter intake (TDMI) and forage dry matter intake (FDMI).
