Response of nitrogen, phosphorus and corm size on flowering and corm production in gladiolus

An experiment was conducted in Lakhaoti, Uttar Pradesh, India, during 2002/03 and 2003/04 to determine the optimum dose of N and P fertilizers along with the optimum corm diameter for high gladiolus (cv. Jester) flower and corm production. The treatments comprised: N at 0, 150, 200, 250 and 300 kg/ha; P at 0, 75, 100, 125 and 150 kg/ha; and corm with 3.2-3.6, 3.7-4.1 and 4.2-4.6 cm diameter.
