Soya bean cultivation in the United States

Soya bean cultivation in the United States

K. LantbrAkad. Tidskr., Stockh 78: 261-72

This paper contains a section in which the past and present development of soya bean selection and breeding in the United States and in Canada is briefly outlined. In spite of the difficulties-of artificial pollination, breeding work is in progress by means of artificial and natural hybridization. The incidence of natural crossing however has been found to be well under 1 per cent.
