Studies on the Susceptibility of Shanghai Mosquitoes to Experimental Infection with Wuchereria bancrofti Cobbold. IV. Aedes vexans var. nipponii Theobald

Peking nat. Hist. Bull, Peiping, 10: pt. 2, 127-131

In 1933-34, experiments similar to those already noticed were carried out in Shanghai to test the susceptibility of reared adults of Aedes vexans var. nipponii, Theo., to infection with Filaria (Wuchereria) bancrofti. Of the 195 examples fed on a heavily infected person, 140 harboured parasites when they were dissected 10 or more days after the infecting feed.
