The percentages of ash, reducing substances before and after hydrolysis, total pectin, total hemicellulose, Cross and Bevan cellulose, CaO, P2O5 and protein in two samples of pampas grass, one being divided into leaf and basal portion which were analysed separately, are recorded and the results compared with published data for a number of common grasses.
