The effect of the height of autumn mowing of sweet clovers in the year of sowing on the size of forage yield in the second year

Sweet clovers of different geographical origin and different agricultural types were cut in the seeding year either 2 to 5 cm. or 20 cm. high. In the following year various types responded differently to the manner of cutting in the previous year, but invariably low cutting impaired the growth rate and the forage yield.
