The effect of thyroxine on milk secretion and on the phosphatase of the blood and milk of the lactating cow

Daily subcutaneous injections of approximately 0.02 mg. thyroxine per kg. bodyweight into cows in declining lactation caused an increase in milk secretion and in the fat and solids not fat of the milk.
