The soybean cyst nematode, Heterodera glycines Ichinohe in Paraguay: its distribution, ecology, variation in pathogenicity and damage on soybean

The distribution, ecology and variation in pathogenicity of Heterodera glycines as well as the damage it causes on soyabean were studied in Paraguay. H. glycines was identified from a total of 16 fields in the main soyabean producing areas of Paraguay. Among these fields, nine, four and three were located in the districts of Canindeyu, Alto Parana and Caaguazu, respectively, and eight are new records of the nematode in the country.
