In the course of experiments made in Arkansas on the effectiveness of adding an emulsible DDT larvicide to the flooding waters at the pump for the control of mosquitos in rice-fields, examination of rice stools showed that there were about 50 per cent. fewer larvae of Lissorhoptrus simplex, Say, in a field treated with DDT in this way than in an untreated field.
