Abstract
At the Department of Agricultural Chemistry, University of Hokkaido, Japan, Piricularia oryzae, the agent of rice blast, grew in a culture containing L-glutamic acid, L-aspartic acid, or L-leucine with only a trace of other carbon or none. The first-named was the most effectively utilized.
