Brucellosis (contagious abortion) of cattle

Brucellosis (contagious abortion) of cattle

Fmg. S. Afr, 29: 151-152; 159

The authors described a scheme for the control of bovine contagious abortion in South Africa, in which the farmers themselves play a prominent part. They are expected to take blood samples for themselves, and send them to the regional veterinary department for examination. Vaccine is available direct from the veterinary institute at Onderstepoort, with detailed instructions for use by the farmer.
