The material examined was waste from vegetables, including white, red and curly cabbage, kale, Brussels sprouts and cauliflower, carrot tops fresh or ensiled, and pea and bean vines. The actual materials analysed and used in digestibility trials with sheep, pigs or rabbits included all plant matter not marketed for human consumption.
