Young grafted apple trees were grown in pots of sand and irrigated with nutrient solution containing P, S, Cl, Ca, Mg, K, Na, N, B, Mn, Zn, Cu, Fe, Ni and Co. Two additional series received solutions with the same proportional composition but in double and triple concentration. The controls received no nutrients. Analyses of various plant organs were carried out at regular intervals. Results are recorded in detail.
