Evaluating dairy sires

Evaluating dairy sires

Holst.-Fries. World. 49: 321-322

Equal-parent, regression and expectancy indexes are compared. A plan is proposed in which each record would be compared with the breed class average and expressed in percentage. The daughters of a bull could be compared with their dams on the basis of percentage above or below breed average. Sires could be compared on a similar basis.
