Experimental evaluation of culture and serum vaccination for the control of swine erysipelas. Recapitulation of the swine erysipelas problem

Experimental evaluation of culture and serum vaccination for the control of swine erysipelas. Recapitulation of the swine erysipelas problem

J. Amer. vet. med. Ass, 123: 301-304

The authors discussed the difficulties encountered in the experimental reproduction of E. rhusiopathiae infection and in evaluating methods of biological control. The skin scarification method for the experimental reproduction of the disease has now rendered possible a more precise evaluation of methods of vaccination.
