Leaching with n NH4 acetate removed about the same amounts of K from variously treated K-hydrogen clays as did electro-dialysis in a Marsden cell for one hour. A more prolonged electrodialysis (2 hr.) removed more K than did leaching, suggesting that the additional K derived from non-exchangeable or fixed forms.
