The inheritance of resistance was studied in F2 progenies from crosses involving the resistant oat varieties Landhafer, Santa Fe and Trispernia. The resistance of Landhafer to race 101, as determined from four crosses, was conditioned by a single partially dominant gene. Data from two crosses were in accordance with the hypothesis that the resistance of Santa Fe to races 45 and 101 is dependent upon two linked genes with a recombination value of about 23%.
