Abstract
With heavy manuring (especially N-fertilizer) and irrigation (3-4 sprayings each corresponding with 15-20 mm. rain) during the dry spell, a total yield of about 400 dz./ha. of early potatoes was obtained within 3-3-5 months and the crop contained a high percentage of ware potatoes. Taking the average results for 3 years, irrigation equivalent to 1 mm. rain produced a yield increase of 1-8 dz./ha. of ware potatoes.
