Abstract
The studies described in Part II were made in persimmon orchards of the college farm at omiga, Hirai-cho, near Takamatsu in southern Japan in 1951. The experimental blocks contained irrigation, mulch, sod-culture and control plots, and were situated at the top and bottom of a 15% slope facing south-west.
