Sales of fluid dairy products in Allegheny County (Pittsburgh) during April 1951

The actual sales of milk and cream in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania (i.e. Pittsburgh), during April 1951 differed by -2 per cent and + 1 per cent respectively from estimates prepared from sales reports by sixteen distributors. Between 1936 and 1951 sales of pasteurized milk increased by 79 per cent. In the same period sales of cream decreased by 15 per cent and those of low-fat "milk drinks" (buttermilk, skim-milk, etc.) increased by 132 per cent, mostly since 1944.
