The Walnut Aphid in northern California

The Walnut Aphid in northern California

J. econ. Ent, Menasha, Wis. 43(4): 448-456

The following is based on the authors' summary, Chromaphis juglandicola (Kalt.) is one of the most destructive insects attacking walnut in northern California, where it occurs in large numbers each year. It would be much more troublesome if it were not attacked by many natural enemies, of which predators appear to be the most important and keep it in check under natural conditions.
