The effect of composts and organo-mineral fertilizers on the yield of spring wheat and sugar beet under irrigated conditions.

Composting dung and phosphorite meal is one of the most effective means of applying them to chernozems. The content of phosphorite meal in the compost should not exceed 10% of the total weight of the mass being composted. The inclusion of soil and straw residues has little effect on the value of the composts. The rate of application of the composts depends on their content of phosphorite meal, the optimal rate of application of the latter corresponding to 60 kg/ha P2O5.
