Odin winter wheat was sprayed at different growth stages with Weedone (9-10% acid equivalent of 2, 4-D ethyl ester) and Agroxone (9-10% a.e. of MCPA Na salt) at rates of 101. per ha. in 1000 1. spray volume. The time of spraying ranged from 19 Sept. 28 May in 1949-50 and from 25 Sept-30 May in 1950-51, as far as possible at 3-day intervals. Weedone caused considerable growth abnormality, while Agroxone caused only slight abnormalities.
