The effect of seed dressings containing an organo-mercurial and gamma BHC on germination tests of oats

The effect of seed dressings containing an organo-mercurial and gamma BHC on germination tests of oats

Empire Jour Exptl Agric 22(87): 185-188

The injurious effect of mixed mercurial and BHC dressings on oats was statistically significant but too slight to be of practical importance and was mostly confined to groats. The roots and coleoptiles became swollen, the more so the longer the treated seed is stored abnormal seedlings are more common when such treated seed is sown in sand rather than in soil.
