The forest plant associations of the Swiss Jura and their altitudinal distribution.

The forest plant associations of the Swiss Jura and their altitudinal distribution.

Schweiz. Z. Forstw 98(1): 1-17

A provisional statement, on broad lines, of what is so far known of this subject (22 refs). The climax associations, in descending order from the timber-line, are: Hylocomieto-Piceetum, Fagetum (rumicetosum, abietetosum, typicum, caricetosum albae), Querceto-Lithospermetum (which Moor would prefer to call Coronilleto-Quercetum pubescentis), and Querceto-Carpinetum.
